Concierge Cardiology Care

Expert cardiac care built around your personal history, a detailed review of your records, your physiology, and a comprehensive in-person evaluation that includes a complete point-of-care ultrasound exam — performed and interpreted by a board-certified cardiologist, not delegated to a technician. This culminates with a personalized care plan with hands-on coordination of care and possible additional testing and specialty follow-up.

Why concierge

Care built around you — not around a schedule.

Most cardiology practices are built to move a large volume of patients. Visits run 15 minutes or less, your records arrive (if they arrive) the morning of the appointment or you need to bring them to be reviewed, and the exam ends before you've finished describing any possible symptoms that brought you in. Cardiolucent is the opposite of that practice by design.

Limited membership keeps the patient panel small on purpose. Dr. Ilan Kedan personally manages every patient relationship, schedules the time each visit actually needs, and answers his own phone. Quality over quantity isn't a marketing phrase here — it's the operating model.

Your records, reviewed before you arrive

We start with everything you've already done.

Before your first visit, Dr. Kedan personally reviews your prior records — previous cardiology notes, echocardiograms, stress tests, calcium scoring or coronary CT, ambulatory monitor reports, lipid panels, advanced cardiometabolic markers, imaging on disc, and outside referral letters. Nothing useful gets thrown away or duplicated unnecessarily.

You arrive to a visit that's already informed by your history, not to one where the first half is spent re-collecting what's already in writing.

A real cardiac evaluation

An hour for an exam that should always take an hour.

A full Cardiolucent evaluation is what cardiology was meant to be: a careful history, a deliberate physical examination, and time to discuss what we find. Dr. Kedan personally performs every component — an old-fashioned physical exam, the way physicians were trained in medical school.

The patient history and clinical exam is where most diagnoses are made or missed. At Cardiolucent, we give it the time it deserves.

Complete POCUS, in-office

Point-of-care ultrasound — the exam your stethoscope can't perform.

Every comprehensive evaluation at Cardiolucent includes a complete point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) examination — performed personally by Dr. Kedan during your visit, not sent out and read days later. Dr. Kedan is among the most experienced handheld-ultrasound cardiologists in the country, with over 45,000 POCUS exams to date and an international academic teaching profile in the technique.

The cardiac POCUS exam covers cardiac chamber size and function, valvular structure and motion, pericardial assessment, inferior vena cava assessment of volume status, and abdominal aorta. It surfaces findings a stethoscope and resting EKG simply cannot, and it converts a formal cardiology consult into a meaningfully diagnostic encounter.

Care that compounds over time.

Concierge membership is not a one-time visit. It's a continuous clinical relationship. Platinum members reach Dr. Kedan directly by phone and message for the questions that come up in between office visits.. Follow-up visits, serial imaging, and longitudinal lab tracking happen on the cadence your physiology requires — not on whatever a quarterly insurance review allows.

We also coordinate your care. Dr. Kedan communicates directly with your referring physician, endocrinologist, oncologist, surgical specialists, and anyone else involved in your care, so decisions are made with the full picture in view rather than one specialist at a time.

Built for patients who want depth.

Concierge membership is the right fit for adults who want a trusted experienced cardiologist managing their cardiovascular health over time — for prevention, for the management of established disease, or for the kind of complex picture (multiple specialists, multiple medications, multiple priorities) where coordination is the difference between a good outcome and a bad one.

It is particularly well-suited to longevity-focused adults, executives whose schedules don't tolerate the standard appointment grind, patients with established coronary disease, valve disease, arrhythmia, or hypertension that needs careful medication adjustments, and patients recovering from cardiac events who want an experienced eye on every decision.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Cardiolucent concierge membership include?
Platinum membership gives you a continuous clinical relationship with Dr. Ilan Kedan as your personal cardiologist. It includes a comprehensive initial evaluation with full record review, an extensive physical examination, and a complete in-office point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) exam. Platinum membership also covers ongoing visits at the cadence your physiology requires, access to Dr. Kedan, and active coordination with your other physicians.
How is a Cardiolucent concierge visit different from a typical cardiology appointment?
Three differences matter most. First, time — every visit is scheduled to last as long as a real cardiac evaluation requires, not the 15 to 20 minutes a standard practice can spare. Second, completeness — Dr. Kedan personally reviews your prior records before you arrive, performs your physical exam himself, and runs your POCUS exam in the room. Third, continuity — your cardiologist is the same person every visit and you can reach him directly between visits.
What is point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and why does every visit include it?
Point-of-care ultrasound is a handheld cardiac ultrasound performed at the bedside by the treating cardiologist during your visit. It allows real-time assessment of heart chamber size and function, valves, pericardium, lung congestion, volume status, and the abdominal aorta — findings that a stethoscope and a resting EKG simply cannot reveal. Dr. Kedan has performed over 45,000 POCUS exams and is an international academic teacher in the technique; including a complete POCUS in every evaluation is how we make a formal cardiology conversation into a meaningfully diagnostic one.
Will Dr. Kedan review my prior records before our first visit?
Yes. Before your first appointment, Dr. Kedan personally reviews everything you send — prior cardiology notes, echocardiograms, stress tests, coronary CT or calcium scoring, ambulatory rhythm monitors, lipid panels, advanced cardiometabolic markers, imaging on disc, hospital discharge summaries, and outside referral letters. You arrive to a visit that's already informed by your history.
Does concierge membership replace my referring physician?
No. Concierge cardiology is specialist care, not primary care. Dr. Kedan focuses on cardiovascular health and coordinates with your referring physician (and any other specialists involved in your care) so that decisions are made with the full picture in view. At Cardiolucent our team systematically reviews each patient's care and will step in to close and fill in gaps in care if found.
How quickly can I reach Dr. Kedan if something comes up between visits?
Platinum members reach Dr. Kedan directly by phone or message for the questions that come up in between office visits.. For urgent cardiac concerns, the goal is same-day contact during normal hours. For routine clinical questions, expect a response promptly. The point of membership is that you have an expert cardiologist who knows you and your records — not an after-hours service reading a chart they've never seen.
What kind of patient is concierge cardiology built for?
Patients who want a trusted experienced cardiologist managing their cardiovascular health over time, with the time and continuity to do it properly. That includes longevity-focused adults investing in prevention, executives whose schedules don't tolerate the standard appointment grind, patients with established coronary or valve disease that needs ongoing management, patients with hypertension or arrhythmia that requires careful medication titration, and patients recovering from cardiac events who want an experienced cardiologist overseeing every step.
Does Cardiolucent accept insurance?
Cardiolucent operates outside of insurance networks so that visit length, scheduling, and the depth of every evaluation aren't constrained by what an insurer is willing to reimburse. Platinum members frequently submit visits for partial reimbursement under out-of-network benefits, and we provide the documentation needed to do so. Diagnostic studies ordered outside our office (advanced imaging, advanced labs) often go through your regular insurance.
How do I become a member?
Most patients start with an Expert Cardiology Consultation — a single focused visit that gives you a complete evaluation and lets you experience how we practice before committing to membership. If you decide to enroll, the consultation fee is credited toward your membership.
